Little known fact, but I was raised in San Diego, Ca. The bright lit days and roving palm trees were part of my daily life. I now live in the lush and rainy population of Portland, but San Diego was my old stomping ground. This past April, I returned home to visit my mom for a special birthday. While south, I took a trip with my best friend, up to the LA garment district, where we, low and behold, found San Diego fabric.
The fabric featured scenes from the Coronado bridge, the Hotel del Coronado, shamu, surfing, and the mission among other things. How, fortunate to find this San Diego scene fabric in the heart of LA?
Well, we knew just what to do! Bought several yards to make the perfect dress for our annual San Diego pilgrimage to Tiki Oasis.
In our 3rd year attending, I have made matching outfits for a select group of friends. For this fabric, we decided to get out a classic sarong. Check out our matchy matchy San Diego sarong strut dresses!
After creating three sarong dresses, I also made a matching accent bowler shirt. I am planning on adding these to my shop for matching outfits!
And here we are in San Diego, sporting our matching San Diego outfits!!
